Virtual Golf Tournament Friday, October 30, 2020
Our annual golf tournament will be a bit different this year. COVID-19 has forced us to make it a virtual tournament, with no actual golf being played. But the need for the funds raised by this event, which support local outreach programs (Ghent Area Ministries, NEST, Virginia Supportive Housing, Union Mission, and others) as well as the students and teachers at St. Gabriel School in Haiti, remains as strong as ever.
You have supported the golf tournament in the past by donating passes to your golf course which have been awarded as prizes. We ask you to please consider doing it again this year. All contributions will be recognized by publication in the Sacred Heart parish bulletin and website and are fully tax deductible.
As many of you know, Neil Walsh was the driving force behind this tournament since its beginning. He passed away on 3/10/20 from complications of a progressive lung disease he lived with for over three years. Won’t you please consider a donation in his memory? He would be calling and writing you asking you to support the golf tournament if he were here. Consider this a call from Neil. How can you say no?
Every donation will be acknowledged on multiple platforms. The beneficiaries, both locally and in Haiti, will be so grateful for your help.
