Diocesan Bicentennial Octave of Service
Sacred Heart collection drive for
permanent migrants on the Eastern Shore
begins Sunday, September 27th
All parishes have been invited by the Bishop to participate in an Octave of Service from September 27th, the feast day of Saint Vincent de Paul, to October 4th to Commemorate the 200th anniversary of our Diocese.
An Octave of Service is a week-long opportunity for parishes to carry out various forms of outreach in their communities while living out the Gospel values of encounter and accompaniment.
One of our projects is:
collection and distribution of items
needed by migrants (mostly men) who will “winter over” on the Eastern Shore.
