Thanks to the ongoing, generous donations from Sacred Heart parishioners, and the Knights of Columbus , the St. Francis Hospital Nsambya (Uganda) has received desperately needed medical equipment. 

St. Pius X church is inviting other parishes to join us on our charter bus to the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond Virginia

 As we approach Holy Week, please see the see the information below regarding the celebration of the Chrism Mass that will take place on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 6:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. This is a unique opportunity to gather with Bishop Knestout and the priests of the diocese as they renew their priestly promises, expressing their union and communion in Christ with all the faithful in the life of the Church.

 In addition, at this Mass, the Holy Oils are blessed and consecrated for use in the celebration of the sacraments and sacramentals of the Church (the Oil of Catechumens, the Oil of the Sick, the Sacred Chrism).

We will leave around 3pm and return around 9 pm.  The cost is $40 each and can be signed up by calling the St. Pius X office at 757 381 7122 .
