Our Mission
After much discernment, prayers and meditation, we are delighted to say that we, ( Sacred Heart) Parish, are spiritually ready to undertake the responsibilities of beginning a Twinning relationship in Haiti.  Our Pastor, Parish Council, and Haiti Committee understand this to be an opportunity to grow spiritually and in solidarity with our future twin.
We will continue  ( Our mission is to)  to keep all members of our Community informed of this dynamic, sacred and long term relationship.  We recognize that the people of Haiti are materially poor but spiritually rich, and believe that by getting to know one another, we will be one with Jesus in all His graces.
We enter this sacred relationship as children; willing to be surprised by and enjoy what is.  There will be no judgment and no blame.  Together we will journey towards love, compassion, and healing for the purpose of increasing our faith, and will continue praying for the leadership of the Holy Spirit in  this journey.

Centre (Haitian Creole: Sant) is one of the ten departments (French: départements) of Haiti, located in the center of the country, along the border with the Dominican Republic. It has an area of 3,675 km² and a population of 564,200 (2002). Its capital is Hinche. It borders the Dominican Republic to the east. It is the only landlocked department of Haiti. It is the largest hydroelectric dam in the Caribbean.

The department is divided into four arrondissements:

  1. Cerca la Source Arrondissement
  2. Hinche Arrondissement
  3. Lascahobas Arrondissement
